Big screen Big issues...

there was a time when u could only see love stories on big screen......
the happy ending kinds...where you can leave theater with smiling face..
but for last few years we are also being shown movies on social isues......
which is not always happy ending kind...and the one which forces you to think about it.....
YUVA and RDB were kind of movies which said that to improve or to make society a better place to live we have to take active part in it...
SWADESH which said it is very important to work for our own country towards its prosperity.
TZP said every child is different and parents should treat their child as a bud which is gonna spread its fragnance in future..
LAJJA which pointed out various problems faced by woman in todays society
BAGHBAN which pointed out that our old parents needs us which many people dont remember..
many more.....
the real reason for this post is to ask you these questions
Do we really think of these issues after getting out of the theater?..
or are these issues merely taken up for entertainment??

I believe movies invoke yur thinking process, even if its not for long but the effect lasts for a while n then its forgotten abt.

@anvita..
tat means its just for timepass...entertainment....so no serious thinking done after that..

I think the answer would be 'yeah' and 'nope' for many...

At times we do rem'ber, and at times we forget. Depending on the impact the individual felt.

Have you asked this to yourself btw ?
Whaddya think ?

it depends on the viewer!...:)...but some things shdnt be taken seriously from the movies!

@cinderella..

movies like phir milenge and TZP have touched my heart and i try hard to implement that..

hey tat was a decent answer.....can go with many people...
but u not in2 movies...hard to believe...i was going to ask u which romantic movies shud be seen wit my gal...whenever i m going to have her ...lols

broca's area said...

but one fact is clear...everyone is there in that industry for the money and so called fame!:)

Nirmal said...

money is true....but some film makers even got a thing called passion...

im the kind who believes movies r for entertainment and solely that...everyone has their own set of probz and issues to deal with and we go to a movie and spend money not to wallow in it but to be happy...

movies r definitely the strongest medium for influencin the public but really if we think about it, people dont act upon movies...it infuriates, ppl feel sad angry and all but when they walk out, they forget...

doin gud must be a habit...not a duty...without thinkin, without bein provoked we must feel the need to do the 'right' things...

i did love TZP n all but im pretty much sure it didn't change anythin in the way ppl looked at kids who didnt study...u know what the worst part is...? The unanimous reaction from ALL during the movie was,"Aww, poor thing" for the child when actually he is NORMAL!

i think iv spoken too mcuh! :D

Nirmal said...

@preeti...
u have spoken too much..
but many people cud relate with it....so tats a good thing...
**doin gud must be a habit...not a duty...**..
this was great i luved it...

thanks
